BVHS has college classes available from Southern Utah University, Snow College, Utah Tech and Southwest Tech. Registration begins 3-4 months ahead of when classes will start. There are face to face formats as well as online only options.
Registration starts by applying to the specific college. You only have to apply once, if you have applied go to the ADD/DROP instructions. Instructions are below for SUU & Snow.
Once you have been accepted you can enter your student portal and add/drop the class you want to sign up for.
Generally the requirements for participation is a 3.0 gpa, and in good standing with your graduating track. Freshman & Sophomores are limited to one class the first semester of enrollment, and some classes are only approved for Juniors & Seniors. Some classes have requirements to be able to take them, such as MATH 1050 (you have to score a 23 on the Math section). If you do not have your ACT score yet, you can sign up and provide the ACT score when you have it. You can apply for the college and get the student ID, but you may have to wait to sign up for the actual class.
Math 1050- If you do not make the Math subscore of 23, you can take an ALEXS test to see if you would be able to qualify to get into the class. This requires that you register for SNOW, request the test from your student portal and then pass the test before you register for the class.
Any questions just ask Mrs. Bybee- Send me an email at [email protected] and I can answer your specific questions!
